Meridian Little Theatre Wedding

Moments into our first wedding photography consultation, I discover that these two work in the broadcast industry.  It was so hard for me not to stop the conversation and say, “I’m your photographer!”.  I spent many years working in broadcast and I enjoy meeting others that have a passion for that industry.  I feel so lucky that such good people chose me to be their wedding photographer.

Their relationship is a true fairy tale broadcasters love story. He’s from the East. She’s from the Midwest. They met at a radio station in the South. The day was surrounded by family that traveled in from all over the country and friends that were so excited to be celebrating.  Their venue is a hidden jewel in Meridian, Mississippi. From the outside it is just a building, but the interior of the Little Theatre has so many neat nooks and crannies.  The ceremony took place in a brick courtyard surrounded by vibrant green foliage and added floral decorations. The reception and cocktail areas were decorated by the bride and groom themselves. A romantic and fun wedding day with so many chic details.

Carla and Scott, thank you for inviting me into your story.  I hope you had a wonderful week with your feet in the sand!

Hours before the ceremony all of the bride’s sweet girlfriends surrounded her in prayer. I really enjoy documenting special unplanned moments during the wedding day.

Could the groom’s smile be any bigger? Scott made sure all of the little details were taken care of before the wedding so his Carla could relax and enjoy the day. I love how the beautiful sky highlights caught his blue eyes in this groom’s portrait.

Before the ceremony was a planned cocktail hour. This setting is perfect and the entrance to the Little Theatre filled up quickly. The atmosphere was full of laughter as the groom entertained his guests.

I like how the double doors frame Carla’s smile perfectly. These are moments the wedding party would forget without the documentary photography.

This was the most anticipated moment of the day for the bride and groom. Scott seeing his bride for first time was perfect bliss and look at that beautiful landscaping of the Little Theatre courtyard.

little theatre courtyard wedding lights
As the party continued inside, I step outside to see the courtyard lighting. This is the time of the evening that I hope to get one more romantic portrait of the couple. I usually setup my shot and go find the bride and groom to ask them if they are ready for one more photography moment. Well as I was planning, Scott and Carla were sneaking outside for a moment. No posing necessary for these two.

A big thank you to all the vendors.
