Maggie and Shannon’s wedding day was full of sunshine, happy tears, and loving embraces. After a cold start to our deep South winter, this Saturday greeted us with mild temperatures and radiant sunshine. The neutral colors of the woods gave me a perfect backdrop to photograph this sweet couple. The ceremony was held in a rustic barn at ShellB Acres in Birmingham, Alabama. Barn weddings are so great to photograph. The rustic wood mixed with the elegance of weddings trimmings is just stunning. As the doors were opened, bright sunlight splashed into the barn allowing Shannon to see his bride for the first time. All of us were drawn into the connection of these two as they exchanged vows. The reception was held down the long driveway of the property near the lake. A balcony with warm sunshine welcomed family and friends.
Here are a few questions I asked Maggie & Shannon during the wedding planning.
We met through our friends Juliana and Josh.
Q. What is your proposal story?
Shannon proposed at the bridge in the middle of UWA campus.
Q. What do you love most about your relationship?
How loving and caring it is and how much fun we have when we are together.
Thank you, Maggie and Shannon, for sharing your special day with me. The sweet smiles you two kept sneaking each other after the ceremony was priceless. Enjoy some of my favorite images from the day.
