Birmingham Alabama Wedding Video | Kaining & Enoch
Taiwanese American Wedding Video
Kaining contacted me this winter with a special task. Amidst all the wedding planning, she realized that she would enjoy having a video to take back to her home country. She wanted to be able to share memories of her wedding day with those that were unable to travel to her Alabama wedding.
Kaining and Enoch were brought together by a sweet church family. The church member bumped into Enoch at a restaurant and invited him to Birmingham Chinese Christian Church. That was the first time the two met. The church family invited them to their house for dinner the week after. And the rest is history.
The Wedding in Birmingham, Alabama
Family and friends traveled from all over the United States, Canada, and Taiwan to celebrate. Enoch’s father led the indoor ceremony at the Birmingham Chinese Christian Church. As the ceremony started, the skies started to turn dark and spring showers began to fall. In a page from a romantic story, the rain fell on the metal roof of the church as the two exchanged vows. Just as the couple was introduced as Mr. and Mrs. the storm clouds gave way to a beautiful sky with specks on sunset colors.
One of my favorite parts of the wedding day was at the reception at Shellb Acres. Kaining, Enoch, and several family members offered musical entertainment for their guests. It was so neat to see a partnership that worked so hard to prepare for a sweet moment on their wedding day.
The Bride and The Groom
I asked Kaining about their proposal story. She said, “On the day of our new house closing, Enoch took me to our future home…. A while after we walked in, Enoch sent me a text message with a Pinterest link- it had a picture of the ring he got me and the title, “will you marry me”.” When Kaining described their relationship she said, “sometimes we’re so similar, but sometimes we’re complete opposite. We’re the perfect match.”
Thank you Kaining and Enoch for sharing some of your culture with me. Your wedding day couldn’t have been any better and I’ll never forget your musical performance at the reception. So glad you are married, and I hope you have safe travels and a wonderful wedding reception in Taiwan.
