Wedding Video in Huntsville, Alabama

One word, Married!!! Alex and Cody are married! They started their long-distance relationship three years ago and now they are together forever. Jonathan and I felt the same way on our wedding day. We spent a lot of time on the road traveling to see each other and more time on the phone while we were 1,000 miles apart. While preparing for Alex and Cody’s wedding videography, those old feelings and anticipation of finally being together kept welling up. 9 years later, Jonathan and I still just love being together and I hope Alex and Cody get the same feeling many years down the road. Here’s a little more of their story.

About The Couple

“Cody, I’ve finally found a home and that home is you.” Wow, Alex! This is one of the sweetest things you could have ever shared with your groom on your wedding day. After many years of being miles apart, I’m so glad Alex and Cody have now found a home together.

Cody literally gazed into his bride’s eyes the entire wedding day. In the raw, authentic moments of the day he lingered with his bride and always went back in for a second kiss. You can tell their love has persevered and gives so much hope to all of us. These two families treated us like family and we truly felt at home celebrating with Alex and Cody.

It all started three years ago when these two met online. And now, after many miles apart, they are together! Cody proposed to Alex when he was visiting for Christmas break. Alex remembers the proposal like this. “One night we went to one of our favorite places in Charleston, The Battery.” The story continues with some cute coincidences that you’ll have to ask Alex about.  The two ended up underneath a gazebo in the rain. As Alex was getting ready to leave she “started walking away. I walked down the steps when I realized that I didn’t hear him following me, so I turned around and he was on one knee! I don’t remember what he said, but I was totally blind sighted and I couldn’t believe it. It was just me and him there and that’s the way we wanted it to be.” Such a sweet and intimate proposal story.

Alex’s most anticipated moment of the wedding day was the first look. And their first look definitely did not disappoint. After the first look and a few portraits, Alex and Cody exchanged personal letters in which they shared vows with each other.

I say it every wedding. It is a true honor to be invited into the real, intimate moments of a wedding day. It’s not just a front seat to an event, but an emotional peek into the hearts of two people.
