Newborn Baby Boy York
Introducing baby York at 9 days new. I traveled a short distance to a family home in Gallion, Alabama. An in-home newborn session is the best because mom and baby are relaxed in a familiar environment. I bring all my newborn supplies and set up a little studio in the home.
We started the newborn portrait session outside with mom and baby. Mom wanted to replicate a maternity portrait I had taken just a few weeks ago. Mom you look amazing loving on that precious little one!
Then, we went inside for a newborn prop extravaganza. So much fun seeing all the outfits and props his mom wanted to incorporate into the session. A newborn portrait session is so great at freezing that short amount of time when baby is being introduced to the world. When you add family heirlooms such as the family saddle, dad’s high school football helmet, or a great-grandmother’s knitting work, these portraits then go beyond capturing a moment but encompass all the memories of a family’s history. All of baby York’s outfits have such deep meaning for the family, and I’m so glad for the vision and heritage his mom brought to the session.
He was such a sweet pea and slept until the very end of the session. Aunt Rebecca provided some warmth and baby snuggles helping him to rest so peacefully.
Here are a few a my favorites from his session. Enjoy!
