Montgomery Area Wedding
A sweet look back to Rachael and Mike’s wedding day. It was an intimate gathering of family and friends last fall. Everyone join together at the groom’s grandparent’s farm just outside of Montgomery. I enjoyed talking to Rachael over the phone before the wedding. She had a beautiful photography vision, and everything looked amazing on the wedding day. The couple and many of the guests were traveling in from all over the Southeast for the event.
Wedding Day
When I arrived, it was a sunny Saturday in the South. Family members and the wedding party were relaxing in the homestead. After a few last beauty touches, everyone gathered in the front yard to watch the first look. The first look never fails to disappoint in precious candid memories. Pictures speak louder than words in these moments. I take an editorial approach to wedding photography. I allow my images to tell the story of the wedding day. We continued with the wedding party and family portraits as well as some fun moments between.
A short walk down the property led to the wedding venue. An orange barn door served as the backdrop as guests began to take their seats on hay bales. The groom joined by his best man watched as the wedding party walked down the aisle. They wore tailored grey suits with autumn themed boutineers. The girls wore floor length dresses in shades of ivory. They carried autumn bouquets of red, orange, and yellow wrapped in burlap.
So many stories surround a wedding day. Stories of joy, stories of struggle, stories of perseverance and so many more create unique wedding moments. Emotions were high as the mother of the bride and the bride’s sister escorted Rachael down the aisle. Rachael had lost her dad this year and this moment was bittersweet for many. A strong moment for these women to look back on down the road. The ceremony was filled with tears and smiles. After the sweet first kiss, the bride and groom opened the barn door. Guests were invited to continue celebrating during the reception. The appetizer table had flavored popcorn and the main buffet consisted of southern comfort food. The newly married coupled enjoyed the evening as the sun began to set on the farm.
Thank you
I always enjoy becoming a part of the family on the wedding day. So many great stories shared and I’m so thankful for the opportunity to be a apart of such a special day. Thank you Rachael and Mike for the wonderful memories. I know this past year has had struggles and loss of loved ones. I hope these images help you remember the joys your wedding day bliss.
