NorthRiver Yacht Club Wedding // Tuscaloosa Photographer
Rachael and Adams’s June wedding was held at the NorthRiver Yacht Club in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The couple chose the location for its scenic landscape and beauty. This was the first time I had photographed at NorthRiver and I really enjoyed the experience. The staff was so helpful and the grounds made for some beautiful wedding day imagery. The NorthRiver Yacht Club is definitely a top wedding day venue in Tuscaloosa.
Prior to the wedding festivities, the bride-to-be and her maids made wedding day preparations at a family home in NorthRiver. Music filled the house as the girls got their hair and makeup done. Many of the bride’s family traveled in from the Bahamas. I’m a lover of different cultures and it was neat learning from the Bahamians. The groom and his groomsmen hung out at the Yacht Club for the day. It was so fun hanging out with all the wedding party. The conversation was enjoyable and the atmosphere was relaxed. The couple chose the time-honored tradition of waiting until the ceremony to see each other for the first time.
The groom and his groomsmen hung out at the Yacht Club for the day. Many of the guys had traveled in from the Montgomery area and it was so fun hanging out with all the wedding party. The guys were such troopers heading out in noonday sun for formal pictures. The conversation was enjoyable and the atmosphere was truly relaxed.
Excitement definitely built through the day as the ceremony time got closer. The couple chose the time-honored tradition of waiting until the ceremony to see each other for the first time. The union was celebrated with a Unity Cross Ceremony as family and friends looked on. It was truly a beautiful ceremony. The reception followed the ceremony. Highlights included toasts filled with lots of laughs and happy tears. As well as dancing and a photo booth.
Thank you, Rachael and Adams, for inviting me to photograph your wedding day. I’m so thankful to have met yall over a year ago. One of the main reasons I enjoy wedding photography is to be able to honor the sacrament of marriage. Your passion for life and your faith made me thankful for my work.
