Notes from the Bride: Wedding Day Personal Touches
I was reflecting on some recent weddings that I have attended and how I enjoyed their little personal touches throughout the day. Some were big, but it was the simple, thoughtful one’s that left an impact. Here are a handful of examples that I wanted to share with you.
Wedding Day Personal Touches
*First off, let’s give applause to the women’s restrooms that are of adequate size for multiple guests at a wedding reception! And think about how great it was when a scented plug-in was spotted in there too! Now this could have been part of the venue’s doing, but I’m guessing that it wasn’t. It was nice that the bride thought of this!
*At a different reception, each table had a small bucket or basket with little things to keep adults and kids occupied. Some were basic coloring sheets, and others were word searches or mad libs. There were a few crayons and/or pens with the papers. It was nice to have those available for the quieter moments during the reception. Somehow the bride worked them into her centerpieces, which I thought was very clever!
*Another wedding reception had a nice basket of travel sized items in the bathroom for the guests to use. Items such as stain wipes, hairspray, and even breath mints. It looked like it was easy to put together and set out for the guests.

*At yet another wedding, there was a little get to know you card on the bride and groom, which told us little things or fun facts about the couple. It also included their new mailing address. It was nice to get to know the couple more, and I thought it was smart to hand out their new mailing address too.
*My final example is that of a wedding favor. It was a simple Christmas ornament with a tag attached to it sharing the names of the bride and groom, as well as their wedding date. Easy, memorable, and depending on the time of year when these were purchased, they could be very inexpensive.
As you can see, little things can impact your guests.
Have you thought of any little personal touches that you’d like to have at your wedding?
Have you seen any at other weddings that you’d like to replicate?
