Tuscaloosa Riverwalk Surprise Proposal

A surprise proposal!  How fun is this!  A friend of a friend of a friend called me about a surprise proposal.  When Jerad started sharing his and Jessica’s love story and how he wanted to propose, I started getting chills and I thought please God let him pick me to photograph this surprise.  We met a few days before the proposal in Tuscaloosa, Alabama at the Riverwalk.  There are many beautiful spots for portraits along this revitalized area of town, but Jerad had one special spot in mind for the proposal.  You see before they met Jessica used to come to a spot on the boardwalk that overlooks the Black Warrior River and pray for her future husband.  Well God has heard her prayers and granted the desires of her heart.  During a well orchestrated walk along the river, I sat on a park bench with my heart pounding a little as the couple approached their mark.  Then, Jerad went on his knee and the rest continues their love story.

  After extending my congratulations I left the surprise proposal photography session with a big smile, not only because of being apart of this amazing occasion but also because I knew there were more surprises in store.  I drove a block down the road to a pavilion where family and friends were awaiting to share in the joy of this newly engaged couple.  Laughter, food, and a video that could be classified as a romantic comedy followed.
