My team specializes in providing cinematic wedding films that our couples can use as a time capsule to remember their wedding day. This Birmingham, Alabama couple was amazing to work with. From the initial consult until the sparkler send-off, these two and their crew of friends were so fun to work with.

Our day started at a great historic wedding venue in Birmingham, The Donnelly House. This 1905 home is located in the beautiful Highland Avenue Historic District. The downstairs has great mingling space for guests and going up the staircase reveals several rooms for getting ready and private space for the couple after the wedding. Our favorite part of the neo-classical architecture is the large front porch with tall white columns. This area is very welcoming and has you dreaming of the hospitality that it has hosted over the years.

The weather for this early spring wedding was damp and dark, but everyone’s spirits were high as the celebrations began. Jennifer and John chose to do a first look with each other before the wedding. We highly recommend a first look for your wedding video. Having a first look allows you to spend most of the day with your future Mr. or Mrs. You get some great private time together before the busyness of the day’s events begin. And an added bonus for my team is that we can some great, unrushed film of just the two of you together. We always recommend a first look!

After the formal portraits and a little break from the chill in the air, it was time for Jennifer to be escorted down the aisle by her Father. Walking down the aisle is our second favorite part of the day. The emotion of sharing smiles with wedding guests as the bride approaches her groom is incredible. At The Donnely House, there is an outdoor ceremony location at their Gazebo Garden. This beautiful spot is tucked away across a cobblestone alley. With umbrellas raised and a light mist in the air, Jennifer and John shared personal vows (another one of my new favorites), exchanged rings, and celebrated their love with a first kiss.

The couple glowed as they walked down the aisle as the new Mr. and Mrs. After enjoying a private meal, the two kicked off the outdoor reception with a first dance and dances with their parents. As the sun set, the party ramped up with dancing and the joy continued with a sparkler send off. View the short film below to see Jennifer and John’s incredible wedding day.

Jennifer and John, congratulations again on an amazing wedding day. Thank you so much for bringing me into your story with all the crazy moments of your dating life to the moment of your first kiss as newlyweds. It was a joy to share my passion for filmmaking with you. You have incredible friends and family and I hope that you share some great memories together as newlyweds. Thank you!
