One Important Tip On Wedding Dress Shopping
Notes From A Bride
The first time I went wedding dress shopping I actually went…..alone. It was spur of the moment, and I really just wanted to explore and get my feet wet on this whole dress shopping thing by myself.
Sure, I had helped a friend or two pick out her wedding dress, but this was all new to me. I didn’t know what would look good on me or even what I would be interested in.

One great thing is that I felt no pressure and could really explore on my own. I let the shop owner know what my intent was for being there that day, and she respected my space while helping when I needed it.
This is when I did find a dress that I liked. Not THE dress, but a dress that was momentarily in contention.
The following times when I went shopping I primarily went with my MOH (maid of honor). I chose her for a couple of reasons. First, I knew she would be honest about what looked good on me and what didn’t. Secondly, she would listen to what my likes and dislikes were. She respected the fact that I was the bride and this was my dress.
Wedding Dress Shopping Tips
Some tips that I would pass along are….
-take along those who will listen to you and hear your voice.
-figure out who gets to share their opinions first….Will it be the bride or the group?
-request honesty, even though many dresses will look amazing on you ask them to be honest about what they really love
-follow your heart on your choice. Pick what you love and what you feel confident and comfortable in. After all, this is your day!
