In the old black and white movies, you see kids riding bikes in these cute little neighborhoods. Well, you could put Lindsey and my sister in one of those scenes. I was so excited when Lindsey first contacted me about wedding photography. Hiring me for a Foley, Alabama wedding is like hiring a local photographer. No matter where I live, Foley will always be home.
The Wedding Day
Lindsey and KB’s hometown wedding day was chic, elegant and fun. Lindsey’s most anticipated moment of the wedding day was walking down the aisle. She had dreams of her love seeing her for the first time. As she waited in a car before the ceremony, KB could hardly stand the wait. After the ceremony, the happy couple planned a fun reception at the Foley Civic Center. Family and friends loved the party fun created by DJ Jerry Byrd. He’s been in the industry a long time and helped me capture all the special reception moments. He even sang a song to Lindsey and KB after the cake cutting.
My sister has some special life long friends. Lindsey it was so neat for me to see you all grown up and marrying the love of her life. A big thank you to you both for sharing such exciting memories with me.

The bride created so many personal touches for her wedding day.A couple of years in the making and this love story is on its way to a beautiful start.The bridal party saw me scouting out the lovely church grounds when I arrived in Foley. They thought I lost my way. No, I am looking for perfect spots for Lindsey’s special day. The wedding gown is perfect for Lindsey.A little beauty break for some fresh air with the bride and her maids. These girls were so sweet to me during the wedding day. Lindsey is lucky to have many sweet hearts by her side.Peacock feathers adorned much of the decor and special bridal party pieces. Hair clips, boutonnieres, floral arrangements, centerpieces, and shoes were all coordinated with peacock colors. The groom’s ivory suit highlights the peacock colors in a brilliant way.Once these guys got comfortable with me it was all fun and games. At one point I let the guys take over the photo session. Watching the men pose themselves was hilarious.Like I was saying, these guys are fun. The groomsmen voted in a jumping shot into the photography fun. Lindsey, were you shaking your head when she saw these images in her wedding collection?The bride makes her final preparations inside. This is the moment when it all seems to sink in for Lindsey. She chose to keep with tradition and not see KB until the ceremony.Lindsey saw this idea from another wedding and chose to bring it to her own. The color scheme of the maids dresses adds to Lindsey’s joyful vibrance.There was a little delay for family formals portraits. I never look at delays as a bad thing on a wedding day. Instead, I look for opportunities to add to the photography collection. This was a great moment for me to add to Lindsey’s bridal collection. A peaceful moment in the quiets of the forest. These bridal portraits are some of my favorites of the whole day.Lindsey’s “twin” snuggles up next to her.Guests begin to take their seats for the outdoor ceremony. Lindsey waits in the car with some of her maids. It’s almost time to take KB’s hand for a lifetime. These candid moments are the favorite part of my day. I enjoy creating images that portray the real excitement of the event.The decor has a mix of modern elegance and southern charm on this sun filled wedding day. Some of the wedding party helped to decorate the ceremony area in the morning.
